As Days Flood into One

As the days grow longer, we dream of the warm months.

The days by the lake, and the warm summer nights we spend with friends.

Yet, for ranchers, no matter the time of year it never slows down.

First they have to get through calving season, which slow turns into haying season. It seems to never slow down. Late night and early mornings test the limits, but winter is on its way. Most of the year when its warm is preparation, and when the snow finally hits it seems like a never ending battle to make sure every animal is happy and healthy.

For people that have the regular 9 to 5, they may find it appalling to work so much, but it is not just about the hours. Its about keep animals alive, and the reward that comes from the small accomplishments.

Spring and summer mat be near, but remember the ranchers in your community that work all year, and stop and appreciate what they do!
