HB 350 Killed

As many of you know I was able to testify in front of Montana legislatures at the beginning of February. This was for the Country-of-Origin Placarding Act HB 350. We have received news the bill was killed and tabled until further notice.

So what does this mean? It means we will work harder to make it known that this will be the best thing for Montana beef producers and the first step towards installing the Country-of-origin Labeling again in the US government. This will enable all born, raised, and processed in the USA to obtain labels that indicate "Product of the USA", and the beef from foreign countries will have a label indicating it is not American beef.

Many American ranchers and agricultural organizations have been working very hard to pass COOL at the state and federal levels. The placarding act is just the first step, and even if it didn't pass in Montana yet this is only the beginning.

We will continue to advocate for COOL and COOP at the state and federal levels!

Let's ensure our consumers know where their beef comes from! Support the fight for COOL and COOP!
