Beauty is Perspective
When I first started looking at colleges, the University of Wyoming was at the top of my list. This college was packed with amazing things that I wanted and was looking for, but there was one problem.... I hated the mountains.
The reason...
Well on a trip to Aspen, CO I got super super sick when we went up into the mountains and that was the start of my hatred. Being raised on the plains my whole life also didn't help, as I was used to the open and loved being able to see for miles without much in the way.
Then, everything changed.
After moving to Laramie, WY, and settling into my new home, I met someone who lived close to the Tetons. After three months of being together we took a trip to his hometown. As we drove to his small town, I could see Teton National Park right in front of us, and that's when everything changed. My perspective of these formations were altered and served as a great life lesson.
You can dislike something all you want, but until you open your heart and eyes, there is no reason for you to not change your perspective. The change in my life could've been different and I could've gone to North Dakota for school, where it is flatter then flat, but I wanted to experience something new.
Now, when in Laramie I love driving out to Snowy Range to look at the beautiful landscape.
Changing the way you view things can change the world.
So why not take a chance on something you dislike with a clear perspective?
You never know, you might just fall in love with what you see!
